How Jessica and Nancy introduced diffusing lava rock to the world…
Did you know that before Jessica and Nancy discovered that lava rock diffuses essential oils that there was no such thing on the market? The only way thing that existed at the time were necklaces with terra cotta clay pendants or lockets with cotton pads. Nancy was making gemstone yoga bracelets for a local yoga studio for fun when Jessica moved down the street from her. They were instant friends (and maybe started a small stay-at-home-mom support group with each other). Jessica introduced Nancy to 100% pure essential oils and they were both looking for a hobby since becoming stay-at-home moms. After some brainstorming, they decided to pay for a booth at a craft fair and put a kit together with bracelets and oils and tried to figure out how they could go together.
Jessica told Nancy about the necklaces and wondered if there was a way to get terra cotta beads onto a bracelet. After much research and realizing they would have to make the beads (who has time for that?), they experimented with other stones and thought lava would work. They made an all lava bracelet, put oils on it…. and after 3 days it still had the scent! IT WORKED!!! They started making bracelets and giving them to family and friends as gifts that were essential oil users. They were a HIT and everyone wanted to buy them…
and the rest is history!
