Jade
Jade or “yu” (meaning precious stone) as it is called in China, and according to Chinese tradition, symbolizes all five virtues of humanity: Wisdom, Compassion, Justice, Modesty, and Courage – plus five happiness’s – wealth, old age, health, natural death, and love of virtue, therefore often symbols of these virtues were carved into pieces of Jade. Jade is said to bless whatever it touches, serving mankind across the globe for nearly 6,000 years. Jade brings realization to ones potential and devotion to one's purpose. It is the symbol of tranquility and wisdom. It is said to possess yang (the vital masculine principal) and in China, it was believed to impart immortality. When worn as amulet jewelry, jade prevents nightmares, heals many diseases, and prolongs life. Opens and heals the heart; free oneself from anger, selfishness, and greed. Encourages service to others and the planet. Jade is known as the “dream stone” and a “stone of fidelity”, releasing negative thoughts and irritability and soothing the mind. Jade improves one’s remembering of dreams and releases suppressed emotions via the dream process. It stabilizes the personality, integrating mind with body, to stimulate ideas and make tasks less complex and easier to act upon.
